Interest in Wyrmspear playtest?

It's only been 12½ years since my first inklings, but finally, my 0e-inspired, DL#1 re-visioning is all but a reality:

Image

All that remains is a decent play test (and fixer-upper-ing)...

This will be a stop-start play test, rather than a seamless campaign experience. I may want to hand wave/fast forward or re-run some situations, as the primary goal is to stress test the scenario.

Wrymspear includes a bunch of level 3-4 pre-gens; DD/0e backports of the original AD&D legends.

Members of this illustrious (ha!) hangout will have first dibs.

Any takers?

Re: Wyrmspear playtest

Thanks Mike.

There are 8 PCs, so would be ideal to get a few more players... Let's see if anyone else is interested.

Using DD as the ruleset? I’d like to play if that’s alright.

Welcome RRedmond. Yes, it's all about Delving Deeper over here :)

I'll be using the (still WIP) DD V5 rules, but you won't need to know too many of the specifics. It's basically 1973-74, Chainmail-era OD&D (so, pre-Greyhawk). It will be mostly familiar, with a few interesting CM-nuances in the combat. I'll be coaching us thru the game mechanics in the open.

You're seat is booked!

Re: Interest in Wyrmspear playtest?

P.S. RRedmond, if you edit your sig you can wrap all the Noh'won the Wiser stuff in f=47 tags (in square brackets, per usual BBCode).
Then your Noh'won the Wiser stats will only be displayed in the Hobbits of Hornpipe forum, where it's relevant.

This means you can have multiple character stat blocks from multiple different games in your sig at the same time, but only display them in the appropriate game forums. The F tag is for "Forum", and 47 is the number of Mushgnome's Hobbits forum on this board (you can see the f=47 parameter in the URL when you visit that forum).

Re: Interest in Wyrmspear playtest?

That’s pretty cool! But I was thinking of just deleting the sig, considering the game is dead. :(

I’m in like Flynn!! Or like a sneaky Kinder… ;)

Yes please. Sign me up.

I would absolutely love to see some of the OG players from Hinterlands join! What a fantastic group of players we had.

Except for the part about always missing out on the treasure! Lol. Hopefully we’ll fair better this time.

Have you posted anything on the other forums? ODD74 and Unseen Servant and the like?

Re: Interest in Wyrmspear playtest?

This will be play-by-post here on the forum, correct?

If so, I'm happily interested! A stop-start with a playtesting goal is about my speed right now (as opposed to an open-ended, long-term campaign).
