There are a couple of doors and a hallway in there as well which could lead to somewhere interesting. We can always come back later if we want to though!

Assuming we can close the door quickly enough, let's head south down the main corridor and turn right (west).

Let's quickly retreat back out the doorway (if we're not already all outside the door). That way they either have to come at us one at a time, or alternatively we can close the door to trap them on the inside. But what does everyone think though? Fight, or close the door? In that case Maloof will add nothing to the note and will instead retreat back out the west door leaving the note untouched (unless anyone else wants to investigate this room further?).

Let's head north and try the door on the north wall (listen & open).

Maloof approaches the table to see what (if anything) is written upon the paper. If nothing is written, Maloof will use the provided quill and ink to write the following upon the paper: "I wish to increase my skills at thievery" and sign his name.

I'm actually now curious what may lie just south of the secret room. Maloof would like to head south down the SW corridor and if there is no door leading there on this side, Maloof would head back north then east to the SE corridor and then south to check out that door (listen, then open).

Let's try the NW then. If it's a dead-end, then try SW. If that's a dead-end too, then try listening at the door which heads west from the SE corridor entering this room. (Unless someone thinks we should pause to check for secret doors at each of the dead-ends first?)
