Re: (052) Reckoning the Abbey

Having thus far heard no foes approaching from below, Dieter reenters the chamber to respond to his name. "Am I to be a warhorse, now?" he asks, then notices the small heads all turning vaguely, sightlessly, in his direction. "I'll carry the double-header, since they're still blind. B...

Re: (052) Reckoning the Abbey

Since he doesn't feel like he can help at all either upstairs or in the chamber of blinding, Dieter will maintain a position on the stairs, below the trapped one, keeping an eye and ear out for anything approaching from below.

Anyone who needs him has but to shout.

Re: (052) Reckoning the Abbey

Has the congestion at the top of the stairs lessened enough that Dieter can get up there now? If so, he does (again, avoiding the bad step).

Re: (052) Reckoning the Abbey

Since Dieter can't quite get upstairs to effectively fight this ooze, he'll fall back to let the others come down. He is still mindful of the trapped step, though.

Re: (052) Reckoning the Abbey

As exploration recommences, Dieter will continue his vigilance. He will, however, spare a glance toward Josiane to see how she is holding up under the news from the letter.

Or, more likely, Desmond should change his name to "Desmond the Imp -- ooh, I wonder what that does?"

Re: (052) Reckoning the Abbey

"I don't get it," Desmond mutters, "Why would they have such a fancy chapel, locked up nice and tight, filled with fakes and a... and a dead nun?" "Because those fake nuns left them here," Dieter growls. "They already looted the place. We loot evil places; stands ...

Re: (052) Reckoning the Abbey

Desmond looks up and replies quite audibly, trying to disguise a faint clinking noise, "Mondes and I searched the walls and didn't find anything. But... we didn't yet look at the statues themselves." "Well, then," Dieter says, "look at the statues." But his eyes never ...
