"I could try smashing open the chest with my hammer," suggests Urist (foolishly not considering the noise this would make).

Phadian looks at Urist and sighs. "That will make quite a bit of noise. It looks quite heavy. I think it will be safely here when we return after killing the remaining orcs."

The far side of the room is dominated by a stone statue that resembles a dragon, yet it has ruined by age and violence. Closer still there are 8 stone pews on each side of the room and font just to your left as you enter.
Urist lowers his hammer and turns his attention to the dragon statue. With his knowledge of stone craft, he might be able to guess a thing or two about its origin and material. Maybe it has big gems for eyes or similar?

Re: 10 - Tor-Xonor the Upper Ruins

The party silently looks at the stone chest. Phadian notices that Rhegaer looks a bit more grim and pale then normal, though of course he does not complain. So the good Cleric works his healing magic.

mgt's roll comes to 6 [6 on 1d6] - Rhegaer is at full health.

Urist casts his eyes about the chamber and walks over to the ruined Dragon Idol.. He thinks "it's a pity that time and foul hands have marred this work. Clearly he is a fine example of Dwarven stonework, it must have been crafted at the time that Prince Sangor of Cantril founded this keep. It is old and masterfully solid, despite what has been done to the outside of it. The bones of the stones speaks to the Dwarf." Alas there are no hidden gems nor other treasure upon it.

Phadian also tends his own wounds.

Urist shares his discovery with the others. He concludes: "So, whoever built this place really had a thing for dragons. Did we find any other exits?"

Re: 10 - Tor-Xonor the Upper Ruins

Phadian looks thoughtful. "Seems like there should be more to this place." Looks around for another exit to the room besides the one the group entered.

Re: 10 - Tor-Xonor the Upper Ruins

Rhegaer thanks Phadian for the magical healing he receives and begins looking around the room. Noting that nobody else has examined the stone chest yet, Rhegaer will do so. If it is locked, he checks the leader for a key.
Any way we could get a quick mud map of where we are? I don't mind the slower pace of the game, but it really makes it difficult to keep track of where we've been and where we can go. Anyone have any suggestions for handling that?

Alrik examines the font and under/around the pews for any sign of compartments or anything unusual.
