Maloof is also now at his maximum Thief level.

We discussed in the past that Gnomes (in general) would have a maximum thief level of 6 and magic-user level of 4, but I don't recall if we discussed whether they can multi-class similar to an elf? It's fine with me if they cannot (especially since they already gain some cool spell-like abilities), Maloof would then be similar to Franklin in that he can't really use any additional XP and would just be adventuring for the fun and glory!

I took a look, and we had a choice between making a 4 MU / 6 Thf class, or sticking to Gnome illusion idea and making you straight thief with some intrinsic illusionist-like abilities built in

Yes, you and Franklin can still get better by getting better gear
