If the Birdmen attack and group, Naillus will use the wand of fire.
If they remain scattered, he will cast 'sleep'
If the charge and he has no time for a spell, then he will use his BattleAxe.

With a 10' ceiling he'd need to fly just barely above everyone's heads, so he'll remain on the ground. He doesn't want to be swatted out of the air as he passes overhead.

And now that I think about it, Maloof will not immediately start shooting his crossbow (and thus lose Invisibility), he'll instead watch for a round to see what eventuates: his invisibility may be able to be used effectively depending on what happens.

There is no organization to the bird men's attack, and they are all easily captured by Nailus' sleep spell

"We should question the wizard - Bannon, bind his wrists, and I will release the hold on him", Aldbane says.

"What do we do with the birdmen? Tie them up?" Naillus will ask.

“Sorry, what was that, Naillus?” Maloof asks, wet dagger in hand, stepping over a dead birdman and approaching the next.

Naillus shakes his head, "Nevermind, but then what about the wizard?"

Bannon does as Aldbane asks, and the hold is released on the wizard.
