Immersive Ink

Franklin has a smile on his face and his hand rests non-threateningly on the pommel of his sword.

The three men slowly get to their feet. "So far, you're talking my language" says one

"Excellent!", Maloof exclaims. "Would you agree to 100gp each per day (paid daily in advance), plus an additional 100gp for each fight we get into? I will also pay an additional 100gp for any useful information you may have about this area which we don't already know."

" An excellent offer. We accept. Is there any specific information you are seeking?"

Maloof hands over 100gp to each of the three men.

"Do you have any loyalties to anyone in this area? We wouldn't want you to be conflicted. Do you know of any treasures which you were perhaps not strong enough to tackle on your own, together we make a stronger team."

"We are our own band. We came down here because we heard that somewhere in this area is a trapdoor that leads to great peril and great wealth. We were just trying to get drunk enough to brave the monsters around here." He laughs at the admission. "We've got a giant in the next room, and a wyvern, so we were thinking of trying the room with the giant beetles first"

Maloof questions the men about the specific location of the giant and the wyvern (we already know of one wyvern but they might mean another). He'll then pay them each another 100gp for the monster information.

Maloof studies the men, looking at their armour and weapons. He then asks if any of their weapons are magical.

Unless anyone else in the party has an alternative suggestion, Maloof then instructs the men to lead the way to the beetle room (we've just been there so we know the way, but we're paying these guys so they can be in front!)

The giant is to the room directly west, and the wyvern south of him. They don't have magic weapons, but seem confident they don't need them. They will lead you back to the beetle room unless any one has other suggestions

Franklin is ready to exterminate the beetles.

Naillus is ready to back everyone up.
