"I'll join the last watch," volunteers Victor roughly, "Couldn't sleep a wink after that, anyways,".
He tosses the last few little branches on the dying fire, and as it sputters to life again he ignites a torch. "Better keep a few torches burning too," he mutters, as he wedges it into the wall near the stair.
"We'es hungry," says one of the bound Hobgoblins, who now seem to be huddled in the back corner, as far from the stair as possible.

Padrig will stay in the burnt out level of the ruined tower to guard the two tied up hobgoblins.
"Well Dieter, Victor and Ulric ", states Padrig, "If they don't come back soon can two of you go make sure the others are okay with the lantern so you can see.
We should regroup here and l will stand guard with gallant Victor against more spiders attacks.
And let the injured rest to heal this night and you brave Ulric and the other magic user need to meditate to regain your spells, as we will need all our strength and wits to survive here this day."
I will keep an eye on these hobbys, who are not dead yet for some unknown reason, but at the first sign of danger or escape I will kill them."

"Nasssty Elveses," mutter the Hobgoblins at this, but shrink back from the bold Elvish Knight standing over them, and then are silent.

The remainder of the night passes without incident, bringing a bleak, grey morning. By dawn all of the little firewood you had is spent, and between you only Padrig's 6 torches remain (though there are over a dozen more in the cell, below).
Both Ulric and Flewellen spend the dawn hour studying their arcane texts, each quietly noting what kind of texts the other may have while at the same time attempting to conceal what he himself has.
The rest of the party rise and chew upon another meal of cold trail rations. Though it is by no means urgent yet, your supplies are over half spent. Most of you have 3 or so days of victuals remaining, Flewellen and Padrig have somewhat more, but Ket will take a full day's march or more to reach.
Everyone has recovered hit points equal to the chance in 6 due to their constitution, meaning everyone is on full health, bar Mads who is only 1 hit point down. Taines must be as tough as nails for he seems to have made a miraculous recovery (con 18!).
There are two big sacks full of copper concealed downstairs, and Rodrick's pack full of loot is here with you, as well as Rodrick's and Crystin's armour, ringmail and leather, respectively.
There are also two Hobgoblin prisoners bound in the corner.
"We'ez really hungry," they mutter continually.
What now?
edit : fixed typo
edit : made clear location of sacks of copper

Padrig puts on a smile and speaks kindly to the Hobgoblins, "I am happy to give you something to eat." Then waits a second for the Hobgoblins attention. Then Padrig continues, "I will give you food, if you tell me where you all come from and who is in charge of the operation on the road?"

"Where form?", the first Hobgoblin repeats, licking his lips with a puzzled experssion on his face.
"The nasty Elfs is tricksee," the second Hobgoblin warns his fellow, but his hunger apparently wins out.
"Weez from here we is," the first fellow explain, as if any child should know, "Tha mountainses, there, yess." he nods his head vaguely easterly toward the hinterlands proper.
"That is where many Goblinses are from, yessss" the second fellow agrees, "Now givesss us tha food, yesss.".
