"Olaf, next time, before approaching the enemy so recklessly, we should leave some room for the archers, so they can, you know, do their thing."
"Michele, load that crossbow and guard the door, fire at the first thing that comes through it!"
Andaros walks towards the door and closes it slowly, kicking the ogres torch inside the room.

Padrig will load this cross bow ready to attack when they come back with extra numbers.
"Maybe we should have oils ready to throw if more of this butes come back soon, or even string up a trip wire on the steps for them", says Padrig.

Michele frowns at
Andaros' irresponsible suggestion. "Have we learned nothing from the tragic death of poor Flewellyn?"
"Somebody give me a hand moving these machines of torture. If we barricade the door, perhaps we can buy enough time for Master Dwarf to free the prisoner and make our getaway."
"Surely the masters of this dungeon know about both entrances to this room, and I do not want to be trapped here with our escape route cut off!"

"He's right about that!" Olaf says, "Block this door, but guard the other side, as they will surely try to surprise us by an attack from the rear."
"Dwarf, there's no need for quiet now, but there *is* a need for speed!"

"Worked didn't it?" Olaf says, "I'm only sorry he didn't stand and fight, and that we didn't pursue him."
"Michele, load that crossbow and guard the door, fire at the first thing that comes through it!"
Andaros walks towards the door and closes it slowly, kicking the ogres torch inside the room.

Ulric frowns at the thought of the ogre rousing his comrades.
"The truce is off, he said. What did he mean by that? Perhaps he mistook us for someone else?"
Ulric moves to watch over the southern passage while the the others barricade the door to the north.
"Clear a space around the southern entrance. If any ogres show their faces I will cast an enchantment of sleep that may incapacitate one or two of them."
OOC: Wow, lots of activity this weekend.

Andaros
"Hm, whatever then."
Andaros will help Michele move the machines to barricade the door.

Padrig assists Michele with the windlass of his great arbelast, and they soon have the mighty weapon ready and loaded.
Meanwhile Andaros, Olaf and a couple of the other burly fighting-Men work together to move an ancient stretching-rack to block the door. It is an awkward thing, for the door is atop half a dozen steps, but they eventually position the rack at an angle so that the door is jammed shut. It is poorly balanced, but any egress via the door has been made troublesome to say the least.
