Franklin's thought process is, if the halflings can snipe one of the beetles before they close to melee range, it will make things safer for our three new "redshirts" (who are not yet battle-tested).

Franklin, Balbo, Drogo, Maloof loose their missiles and batter one beetle,which looks quite crushed, but not down and out.

GM: I plan next round to be the three newbies on one beetle, Aldbane and Bannon on teh second beetle, and the missile firers trying to finish off the wounded one. What is nailus goingto do?

Balbo rolls 15, hits for 6 damage
Drogo rolls 10, miss

Nailus will attack the beetle the missile troops were concentrating on giving them time to reload.

The three men shapeshift into huge, hairy boars, and charge the closest beetle, doing minimal damage. The harassed beetle's response is feeble. Aldbane and Bannon work like a well oiled team and kill their beetle outright, and Nailus easily finishes off the beetle that was missiled earlier.

The three wereboars leave no room to attack the last beetle, so the party waits out the fight, which proves to be short as the last beetle succumbs

INITIATIVE: Party 2 Beetles 1
Wereboars roll 8/15/10, hit once for 5 damage
Beetle at Wereboar rolls 4, miss

Aldbane rolls 19, hits for 7 damage
Bannon rolls 18, hits for 7 damage, killing it.

"Excellent work!", Maloof hands over 100gp to each of the wereboars. "If you could watch the exits, one on each door in the northwest corner and one by the corridor in the southwest, I want to investigate this trapdoor".

Maloof then moves over to the trap door and searches it for traps. He'll then attempt to open it if nothing seems amiss.
