Rhegaer goes into the guard room and searches it for anything of value or interest.

"Let me see, too," says Urist. He pushes his way into the hidden room and makes an exaggerated show of tapping the walls for secret doors and hollow panels.

Rhegaer and Urist enter the small guard post. It reeks of Orc, cast off clothing, food scraps and offal are the primary source of the stench. The pair quickly decide there is nothing worth finding here. The dwarf finds no further secret panels.

Stepping back out into the hallway, Rhegaer searches the bodies for anything of value and then drags the two orc bodies into the secret guard room, using a blanket or cloak or whatever is available to try and quickly mop up any blood trail.

A quick search of the bodies turns up 11silver coins. Other then the coins there is the normal mismatched hides and cloth, belts and crude weapons. The bodies are dragged off and hidden as quickly as possible.....

Was it quick enough to escape notice?

mgt's roll comes to 1 [1 on 1d6]

It is indeed... What now?

Phadian "Let us check behind these doors next. Perhaps have us be arranged to the right of them as we face them so we have our back to territory already covered."

Rhegaer nods in agreement and stands to the right of the door (western hallway), ready for it to be opened.

"Stupid orcs," says Urist, "build a perfectly good secret room then don't bother keeping any treasure there! They were probably guarding these doors, so let's see what's behind them. I'll go first and open the door."

If the double doors swing outward, Urist will pull open the leftmost door, so his friends standing to the right don't have their sightline blocked by the opening door. If the doors push inward, then he will push the rightmost door, so they get a clear view into the room as it opens.

The door creaks open revealing a massive room stretching well beyond the range of the light you have. From what you can see Urist thinks this was an "Underhall, a meeting and common room that could fit most of the Castles residents as needed.". But now instead of orderly stone tables, solid benches and chairs, there is destruction. Stone tables have been eroded in half, rubble is visible everywhere, and the smell is dank and acrid to point that your eye water.

Rhegaer frowns and whispers, "Don't like the smell of this place... certainly nothing left for us. I say we close the door and leave it be, see what we can find down the other hallways."
