Highbough makes a mental note that this town is not safe for an Elf to walk alone at night. He returns to the P&F to rejoin the party. He will wait for Ulric to return with news of the magic items.

This generates gasps, then disbelief, then enormous smiles and cheers all-round. Everyone is anticipating a satisfying bulk of gold in their purses. Drinks are ordered to celebrate!

Before very long, both Josiane and Highbough return to the inn to find their comrades in a most festive mood.

Olaf is thinking he ought to get back to Brigitta's shortly, to pick up the gold...

Once he's cleaned up and wearing the cloak, Desmond will head out to get outfitted for new clothes and some chain mail armour.

He wants to be as discrete as possible while doing so, not drawing attention to himself in the crowds when possible.

Gustave; Bow Street

Meanwhile, Gustave is perusing the wares along Bow Street...

The swords, helms, mail and so on which he desires are all available at market prices (excepting by consignment armour) at the workshops of the various armourers, leather workers and weapon smiths.

Of particular interest to Gustave is a work of graven plate armour pieces that are presently being laboured over by the barrel chested smith and his team of apprentices at on open forge under a wooden sign that proclaims "Anvil and Hans".

The sweaty trio appear to be in the process of assembling a fine suit of plate armour...

Highbough approaches Albert the proprietor. He limps and wheezes to appear even more frail than usual, and makes sure his hood covers his pointy ears. "Kind Sir, have you a Boy in your employ who can help a tired old Man with his errands? I am not a wealthy Man, but I've a few coppers for a clever, quiet page-boy who knows his letters and numbers." He extends a silver coin in gratuity with such trembling hands he's sure the barkeep will decline it out of pity.

Ulric looks thoughtful for a moment then inspects the bottle once more.

"Very well. Seven pieces of gold."

Ulric takes the gold from his belt pouch and puts it on the counter.

"You have a fine establishment. I will remember it."

Ulric leaves and returns to the Temple of Thuul to meet Pelenwin where he will hand over the brandy and the magic items.

OOC: Hopefully this will be worth the investment.

"Gentlemen", acknowledges Gustave, strolling casually up to the men working the plate armour.

He runs a discerning eye over the work-in-progress, pursing his lips, then turns to the leading hand, "So, how are things coming along then?" he asks, his smile warm but expectant.
