The trap door seems just to be set in place, not locked, would probably need a string man to move it. No obvious traps are there. The floor of this messy room is covered in scattered gold and silver pieces

Maloof will call over one of the wereboars to help lift open the trapdoor.

You move the trap door and see a 5' square hole, leading down about 15-20 feet. At the bottom appears to be a tunnel headed east. There are rusted iron bars about 1 foot apart, leading down as handholds/foot holds or a rudimentary ladder

Does anyone want to collect the coins scattered across the floor here? If not, I suggest we could let the wereboars do it (and claim the coins for themselves).

It seems like this trapdoor might lead down to the next level of the dungeon, in which case we may want to leave it be for now? Who's in favour of seeing what's down there (sending the wereboars down first ahead of us, of course!) versus continuing to explore the exits from this room?

Personally my vote is to try the trapdoor while we still have some extra manpower (wereboars), but I do think it's still risky!

Agree on letting the wereboars collect the coins, and on going down the trapdoor while we're fresh and have more manpower - Aldbane still has most of his spells.

Franklin is willing to be first down the trapdoor and have a look-see. One possibility is to attempt the 'hobbet on a string' maneuver (so his friends can pull him to safety at any sign of trouble).

Naillus is fine with the hobbit on a rope.
Is concerned about the wereboars as well, but ok with letting them pick up the extra gold.

Wereboars pick up coins and keep a watch out? Franklin lowered on a rope? Which two people let him down? Or send down the invisible Maloof?

Maloof is still in favour of sending the wereboars down, but won't stop Franklin if he wants to take the lead instead. Maloof's probably not the ideal person to hold the rope though, if Franklin might need to be hauled up in a hurry!

Let's send the wereboars down while the hobbets pick up the coins.
