"Well, if not more Ogres, then something else that the Ogre we saw bosses around." Olaf says, "Ogres are always bossing around somebody or other."
"All right people!" Olaf looks around at the others, "Do we open that door and continue, or do we go back the way we came and try a different way?"
"My vote is to retreat, after blockading this door, and try those double doors that Anwyn was so anxious to investigate."

"I agree,"
Ulric says from the outer hall. "If there are more ogre's here that where they'll be. Likely our new friends effects as well. Maybe even some valuables to make this all worth while. I'm sure Anwyn would be happy to be the first one through the door."

"Pelewin, not to bother you so much after your ordeal, but how many villains are we talking, here, that ambushed your company?"
"That would be the group that sold him to the Ogres, though." Olaf says, "What we really need to know is how many Ogres there are in this dungeon."
Mads the Fair
In a hushed voice, Mads comments "We left our cart on the surface. I'd rather not be surprised if we make it out of here."

"I'm with Olaf let us we go back the way we came. I don't want to stay in this trap, it will be better if they do not know were we are", says Padrig.
"Let us have a marching order that is ready with arrows at the front and rear for when we find the Ogre's friends, then fall back for the fighters to engaged, many to one odds if possible."

By
Thorgrim's hearty labour
Pelenwin is free indeed. He is grubby from many days in captivity, and totally unarmed for adventure, but his spirits soar none the less.

Anwyn is impetuous and foolish, yes. But she has not yet gone beyond the illumination of
Ulric's lantern fire. She too has a respectable fear of Ogres...

And so the company agrees to turn back, and begins to reform the previous marching order -- but this time with Anwyn ahead and the unprotected Pelenwin near the middle of the file.
Just as this line is reformed and ready to proceed there comes a great heavy thunk against the timbers of the barricaded door.
Everyone turns about to see only dust settling about the portal. Then there is another great clang as something powerful batters against the door from beyond stirring another cloud of dust.
A moment later the door is struck again, and this time a piece of timber is split as a thick hatchet punches through!
(The door is still shut and barricaded by the heavy torture rack.)
What now?
