I'm sure it will my friend Ulric. Now let us loan our items to Pelenwin to help identify. You know I would not trust anyone else to aid us here except Pelenwin, for you don't know who to trust in Ket. We may run into a stranger who turns out to be a friend or an other who whould slit your throat and steal you blind. Lets just be careful.

She will order herself some tea and join the others, looking out to see if Dorgan and Percy have returned yet.

He wants to be as discrete as possible while doing so, not drawing attention to himself in the crowds when possible.
Very well.

Desmond/Mondes puts on the voluminous cloak after it has been roughly cut short with a dagger. The hood is large enough to cover both his heads, though upon close inspection it is clear something odd is going on. However, it will have to do.

The strange Halfling makes his way through the crowds to the tailors and vendors along Flea Street. He attracts a few remarks and stares, but his small size means he is able to avoid any genuine scrutiny.

(Desmond can purchase anything from the standard clothing list; just list your purchases here. I'm assuming for now that Desmond is not risking being measured by a tailor or attempting to actually try clothes on.)

This done, he finds his way past the timber mill along Bow Street to the smithies, where he can purchase a shirt of mail that was made for a boy at 90 sp.

Before very long, both Josiane and Highbough return to the inn to find their comrades in a most festive mood.

Olaf is thinking he ought to get back to Brigitta's shortly, to pick up the gold...
"Time to go." Olaf says, "Dieter, you coming along?"

Olaf will head back to Brigitta hoping to meet Gustave there.

The street-alchemist gives a hack that might be an unsympathetic laugh.

"I m-m-make the stuff!" he whoops.
"I see. Thank ya for ya time."

Dorgan will spin about on his heel and take his leave of the alchemist. He'll head straight back to the Plough.

This done, he finds his way past the timber mill along Bow Street to the smithies, where he can purchase a shirt of mail that was made for a boy at 90 sp.
Desmond purchases the following clothing:
Cloak (3sp) (the one previously mentioned, not an additional one)
Boots, calf (4sp)
Socks (2cp)
Shirt (1sp) (slightly over-sized)
Breeches (3sp)

Keeping in mind some of the challenges they'd recently faced, Desmond also looks to purchase the following:
1 dozen fishing hooks and plenty of line, stored in a small leather wallet (kind of like a bi-fold wallet with harder leather on the outside and soft leather on the inside - the hooks stuck into the soft leather within)

He also purchases:
child's sized chain shirt (90sp)
(2) steel skull cap helmets (60sp)
(2) sacks (6cp)
belt pouch (4cp)

Total Expenses:
6cp
167sp
cost of fishing hooks and line (?)

Desmond will use most of his copper (348cp = 58sp) from his share when he goes to buy the chain shirt.

He'll use 6 of his remaining coppers for the clothing/sack items (2 left).
He'll use 109 of his silvers for the rest of the armour price and the other clothes/items (79sp left)

He won't stock up on foodstuff items until they're ready to head out again.

OOC: WOTE, do we have to do anything special to attain our next level? Or... are we just at the next level? Also, does Desmond continue with the -1 CON reduction at this point? Might there be some way of removing it?

Ulric takes the gold from his belt pouch and puts it on the counter.

"You have a fine establishment. I will remember it."

Ulric leaves and returns to the Temple of Thuul to meet Pelenwin where he will hand over the brandy and the magic items.

OOC: Hopefully this will be worth the investment.
When he get a safe moment Wibert will pay Ulric half the cost of the brandy 3 gold/3 silver, and says thanks.

He extends a silver coin in gratuity with such trembling hands he's sure the barkeep will decline it out of pity.
"Io can't roightly take yer coin Sir," flusters Ablert, wiping sweat from his forehead with his kitchen towel. "Specially being as io don't have a lad with letters to spare you..."

The barkeep scratches his fat chin as he thinks a moment, before saying "There's no end o' urchin runnin' the streets it always seems, poor souls, but whether any o' them is lettered, well that's a question roight there! But them with their letters fer a certainty will 'a learned 'em at the Traders' Concourse. That's where the schoolin' is done, after all."

(OOC: Danhem has pm'd me a change in Ulric's intention.)

Ulric leaves Wibert with the dagger and the bottle of Brandy to give to Pelenwin, and thus the Deacon, at the Temple of Thuul.

He then trots across town toward the Trader's Concourse with the spear and potion in order to research these items himself...

He runs a discerning eye over the work-in-progress, pursing his lips, then turns to the leading hand, "So, how are things coming along then?" he asks, his smile warm but expectant.
The chief smith is a barrel chested fellow with arms as thick and hairy as a bear's. He wears a much-burned leather apron and a thick black bear pocked with burns and tiny pieces of grit, and stands almost to Dieter's height.

He pauses in his work a moment to glance suspiciously at Gustave.

He waves his two apprentices, sandy headed boys not yet grown to their full height, to cease their hammering a moment.

"Tha werk comes along aright, as it's always awont ta do with a bit a honest labour. An who might you be ta be askin?"

Gustave has the impression that the smith is not a Man to be trifled with.
