He climbs down and calls up "There's a nice wide corridor leading east. Looks like it goes a long way"

Well, if we are all going, then Naillus will join. However, he will say,
"But, are we splitting the party? It would be prudent for someone to pull you all up if it becomes necessary. Should we discuss this a bit more?"

There are rungs. The party can climb down on the rungs like the werebears did. And you can always tie a rope to a rung

I missed that - so Aldbane and Bannon will follow down as well. I don't think we need the rope used for the lantern in that case.
