Should have cut it off at an heroic post, WOTE. Maybe even just a normal one.
Hmmm, I have a vague suspicion that must be some kind of 4E D&D reference that I don't understand...
But, yeah. Sometimes I don't know why I bother. Oh, I just remembered; I'm obsessed

Egads, no! I've never played anything beyond 2.0. Well, there was this one time I tried 3.5, but I was pressured into it. And I hated it.
You said it was an "epic" post. I was saying you should have made it an "heroic" one or possibly even just a "normal" one. See?

Re. Josiane
PCs are incapacitated at 0 hit-points. They can crawl, beg, and utter famous last words, but that is all. Any unhindered foe can automatically perform a coup de grace and end it all.
A PC is slain instantly upon reaching -1 or fewer hit points.
So hope exists until round 3 resolves.

So our only hope is that Ulric's devastation of the goblin riders forces them to break completely and take the worgs with them.
Otherwise, this is going to get ugly very quickly, if it hasn't already.

Always had a soft spot for the old lug. Let's hope he lives a little this time around before going out in a blaze of glory.

Can I negate one of those hits on Dorgan by sacrificing my shield?
It would help the narrative, as Dorgan is about to go apeshit once he sees Josiane down. He's gonna want both hands on Mads' Cold Iron Axe next round.

Whoops, I misread "Josiane knows nothing more" as she was dead, not unconscious. If we didn't need the Sisters before, we sure do need them now.
I will run with it and role play that Highbough believes her to be slain for the moment.

These goblins are mean as. They just rolled a 12 on their morale check to hold on grimly in daylight despite 2/3rds losses!
And then they go on to win the initiative and spoil Ulric's spell, and take him down!
How will the players get out of this one??
