Ulric gathers up sacks from everyone in order to load the gold and silver coins.
"We have six sacks altogether," Ulric says as he start to shovel coins into the sacks. "Let's keep the load as equal as possible between them."
Ulric picks up the necklace and etched copper flask and puts them in his backpack.
Ulric also takes a mental note of the equipment they have.
"Leave the mule feed, most of the oil, hemp rope, and poles. Along with all the copper from the chests that should lighten our load considerably."
Ulric's mind begins to churn out ideas.
"We could dump most of the oil just outside the gate and set fire to it before we leave. The smoke should block the view of what we are doing, and will further delay their pursuit."
OOC: We currently have 19 flasks of oil on hand. We should fill the lanterns, keep maybe four flasks and then dump the rest outside the portcullis. Is the portcullis made of metal, wood or both? The oil, plus the mule feed, and copper from the chests is about 50 units depending on how much oil we take. If we all dump our bedrolls and blankets that's another 12-15 units. It will make for some uncomfortable nights, but we should survive that.
Ulric is obviously going to need to hand off some gear.

"I like your idea, Ulric," says
Highbough, "and don't forget these caltrops we made."

Olaf is up on the battlements still, so he isn't hearing any of the conversations going on inside the building...but if he was, he'd suggest that if we're going across the bridge to the other side, that we could make more than one trip to carry excess baggage over there rather than just leaving it here. After we all get to the other side, I'm assuming that we intend to collapse the bridge so we can't be followed...is that right?
We could hide some things over there and it is possible that it would still be here when we come back for it later. If it is left on this side, the snorks are sure to get it.

Lets carry all the silver and gold and treasures and leave the coppers in the chest as best we can in the time we have. We can carry the chest over with us if we have time and maybe hid it like Olaf suggests. And don't forget the food so we don't stare before we get back to town", says
Wibert.

Wibert will help carry the Knaves' Possessions, except the axe. Along with the chest silver coins as much as he can.

The portcullis bars are all rusty iron. However, there are two ruinous carts in the courtyard, and a pile of other junk that contains plenty of timber which would burn nicely.
Those company members of above average wisdom are dubious about dumping the bedrolls; spending several nights exposed to wind, rain and cold, could be as dangerous as the hobgoblin troops!

Yes, the box weighs 1, and the coins weigh another 1.

Wibert is already heavily overloaded. If he carries much more he'll be dragging it.
