"Well, that was unexpected!", Maloof says. He loots the corpse of the 300gp he has paid Bjork so far, but immediately splits it between the two remaining wereboars (150gp each). He then pays them an additional 100gp each for "hazard pay".
Maloof will then climb up the ladder and search for a way to disable the trap mechanism without pushing open the trapdoor.

Aldbane and Bannon keep an eye on the party's rear flank while Maloof is checking the trapdoor.

Naillus will approach the other two wereboars, and ask, "Were you all close enough that we should seek a way to resurrect your companion?"

Now that he is looking for it, he sees some mechanical parts in the corner of the chute near the top. He could easily jam an iron spike in there

Maloof withdraws an iron spike and jams it into the mechanism. He then proceeds to carefully open the trapdoor, stopping if he noticed anything at all unusual occurring.

Maloof doesn't currently carry a light source. Can gnomes see in the dark?
If he can't see anything after lifting the trapdoor he'll climb back down the ladder and send up one of the wereboars with a lantern, explaining that he has disarmed the trap.

Franklin is saddened. He was skeptical of the wereboars at first but they have proven their courage.

Gnomes are not listed as being able to see in the dark, but the lantern light spilling out the trapdoor suggests piles of gold pieces scattered around the floor
