RETREAT....Rhegaer signals the others and quickly its double time back down the southern corridor, past the 3-way intersection and double doors, West towards the old chapel/Orc Leaders room.

mgt's roll comes to 2 [2 on 1d6]

The path is clear. The party swings South down the corridor, past the ruined Wine Cellar and back to the Orcish barricade. Eventually they enter the open space of the storeroom and the southern staircase leading up!

"We should find a place to camp that is in visual cover from this entrance, but where we can easily keep an eye on it. It will be good to know if any orcs come out, keep your enemy close and what not."

Urist bounces his coin-sack in his hand to gauge its weight. "I wonder if this is enough to retire on?" he wonders. To the others he says, "The orcs will be angry. Let's find a well-defensible campsite because they might retaliate and bring the fight to us. Did we see any good spots along the towers or stone walls where we could keep constant watch and have high ground if attacked?"

OCC:

To clarify.....

The group said they retreated.. I moved you as far back as the storage room on the level you are on. You left the Orc leaders Coin in the stone chest. The stairs up go back into the ground level of the ruins. I am waiting to hear what is next.

I was under the impression Urist is carrying a large sack filled with loot:
mushgnome wrote:"Ooh, shiny!" beams Urist as he moves to scoop the gold and copper coins into his empty large sack.
mgtremaine wrote:Meanwhile Urist is happily scooping gold and copper coins out of the stone chest.
In either case, I don't think we should leave without the treasure. We aren't that badly wounded that we need to abandon the loot. Do the others agree?

Oh... you don't play with the "dwarf of holding" alternate encumbrance rule? I think a large sack holds what, 600 coins? Can we say retroactively that Urist was a clever dwarf and grabbed gold coins preferentially over the silver and copper? ;)

There was only Copper and Gold, and you bet! Urist would not have scooped up mere Copper.

Looks over at Urist and his bag of gold. "What?! Hey! <pauses> Where'd you get the gold?" Scratches his head in confusion, seeming like there is something he should be remembering.

"Agreed. Let us make haste before we are discovered!" Alrik says. He'll help look for a campsite that is not immediately visible from the entrance.
