LOL it does seem that way.. Bouncing from one disaster to the next.

So thus far the summary ideas

1) Find the Goblin Stronghold and sack it while it's weak

2) Start the war of attrition by going out to pick off patrols

3) Try to sneak into Ket

4) Go back to the Abbey, go go back to ruins and hope to get some gold

5) Go to the original dungeon that was never visited.

6) Pack your bags and leave

Do we need a vote? Or more likely it is still too early to pick and the Council meeting needs to finish and Ulric's work with the Crystal Ball needs to be handled.

I think we should focus on Ket, whether that be through traditional or guerrilla warfare or other infiltration tactics. The snorks must have had good reason overtake the village -- let's see what ways will come up with :)

That being said, if we wanted to take a detour into more goblinoid homelands bereft of forces, I wouldn't object too much.

In short order, Desmond will be giving up his iron helms and shield and chain armour. There are too many bonuses he'll miss out on if he's wearing them, though I'm sure he'll miss the extra protection if the party ever takes the field against worgs and gobs. If we still had a mule, he'd see about stowing the helms and chainmail, just in case. He won't miss the shield as much, though, since he'll switch to a main gauche.

Obviously, nobody else in the party can wear the chain (or the helms, for that matter), but his shield is up for grabs, if anyone wants it (Sully? I assume Desmond's shield would be a touch smaller than most and may only be suitable for Dorgan to use. If he wants a spare, he can have it.).

Maybe the elves DO have a pack mount we could buy/use? Not that we have much coin for such a thing... probably better to sell them for what he can and use the coin to buy as much Elven waybread as he can carry.

Dorgan would love your shield, thanks for the offer.

I'd rather wait to hear what the Elves say, and what Ulric finds out, before we start voting.

Need more info before voting. Starting with what the Council is prepared to offer us in aid. If we have a choice between Ket with Elf backup/support/supplies vs Something Else with only the clothes on our backs...

I still think a near-future goal should be better armament for some of the fighters (and dual-class fighters? ;) ) Unfortunately, I don't think that is going to happen at the goblin encampment. Any good weapons they have will surely be in use in Ket... unless of course there are some leader-types who stayed at home.

I think #2 and #3 should probably be done in close proximity of each other.

#4 sounds safe, and maybe a not-so-bad way of getting some levels for the lower leveled characters, but I don't know how useful gold is to us just now, aside from XP. I'd rather look for weapons and I don't know if we're going to find them in an abbey.

I don't know what is referenced by "the original dungeon"... can you elaborate?

Everything before Highbough joined the story. ;)

(Seriously, I think he means the Ruin where we enjoyed our rancid warg steaks. It was before I joined, but I think you guys only cleared the top level.)

If we're going to sneak into Ket, we should not be attacking patrols first, I'm thinking. We don't want them on high alert.

If we can secure the monastery and extricate the silver underneath it (that the Marrowstone revealed), then we can hire some guards to keep it secure while we're off doing other things, like finding weapons.

We actually haven't made it to the Hinterlands yet. We've been mucking about in the Hinterlands' front yard, or maybe its porch. The original goal of the group was to go to the Hinterlands and (I guess) find a dungeon to crawl or something.

I think the original dungeon Ways had in mind was a homage to B2 Keep on the Borderlands... But the party never got to these Caves of Chaos, and now you're probably too high level for it.. haha

As far as what the more info needed... I agree but it is good to let Ways know where I thoughts are... So lets see what they have to say.
