Olaf leans down between two merlens and looses his arrow at one of the monsters, then leans back and nocks another arrow to fire again if the Hobs don't retreat fast enough.

Crystin will stay there in hiding with Taines with mace and shield to the ready to attack when we have the advantage. I do not want to get surrounded and out numbered. One on one is better for survival.
As Caine slips by I tell him to get the others ready quick for a battle.

Olaf whispers urgently, "Hold Ulric! There are more outside the courtyard. Hold your spell until you can loose in on more than a miserly two of the Hobs. We needed to draw *all* of them into the courtyard before showing our presence."

OOC: The way I'm seeing it, 2 Hobs were sent into the courtyard and 2 were sent around the outside of the courtyard's wall to scout. More, including their leader, remained outside the courtyard where neither arrows or spells can reach them. Anwyn's attack was premature as it drove the Hobs back rather than...perhaps...the appearance of safety luring the entire party into the courtyard. If Dieter is charging out into the courtyard he might get a blow on the retreating 2 Hobs that were scouting the courtyard, but he'll need to retreat quickly before those outside can overpower him. Of course, *that* might draw them all inside the courtyard where Ulric's spell could take down more of them. That's how I see it, anyway.

As I see it we're already in combat thanks to Anwyn's shot and I doubt we'll be able to lure this scouting party inside the keep. More than likely they'll quickly retreat to bring reinforcements.
