Before they leave, Dorgan would like to take a closer look at the framework. Does it appear to be hand-worked or was magic involved? Does it bear any signs of Dwarfish workmanship?waysoftheearth wrote:Desmond/Mondes, Ulric and Guntrum explore the basement, and are startled when they see another giant figure looming up over them in the dark, before they realise that it is simply an in-construction, 10ft tall model. This one is a sinister looking framework of metal rods welded together -- an incomplete articulated metal skeleton (not too dissimilar to a medieval terminator!).
Olaf is!waysoftheearth wrote:Desmond/Mondes, Ulric and Guntrum explore the extent of the basement while Highbough examines the journal and Josiane sees to the wounds of Gustave and Dieter.
Nobody is specifically on watch duty...

The young warrior is standing on the platform trying to watch all directions at once.
The intimidating steel skeleton looks to be hand made -- almost certainly by the array of metalworking tools on the rear work bench. But unless Dorgan is mightily mistook, none of this is Dwarf craft. Some of the welds are too rough, and the general symmetry of it is too imprecise. No Dwarf could rest with that!sulldawga wrote: Before they leave, Dorgan would like to take a closer look at the framework. Does it appear to be hand-worked or was magic involved?
