Guntrum volunteers for second watch, a familiar tour of duty from his days watching for poachers.

Gustave joins Josiane on the first watch, figuring now would be an apt time to share with her the details of his second period as advisor to the Duke of Knutt, and in particular the sordid evening in June when Lord Fuznee of Wrongbark arrived at the court accompanied by a troupe of 'maidens of the night' dressed as jabberwockies.

The company has generally been dividing nights into three watches; the after-dusk, dead-of-night, and pre-dawn watches.
I've been allowing PCs to function normally with two-thirds of a night's rest, so it has worked well that way so far...
So we have Gustave and Josiane on first watch,
Guntram and Ulric on the second watch,
and Dorgan alone on the third watch.
SO be it.
Everyone other than
Gustave and
Josiane settle in for some well deserved kip as the blanket of night settles over the land...

Josiane maintains her watch as well as she may despite this distraction, although she is unable to completely disguise the shocked look on her face when
Gustave gets to the part of his tale where the 'maidens of the night' begin to 'gyre and gimble in the wabe...'

"As you wish,"
Dieter says with a chuckle. "But wake me if there's trouble."

Gustave hopes the luridity of his tale does not (or does?) lead the warrior maided to have uffish thoughts...
