Nice little piece of bit of backstory there Mistere29 :)

There are a bunch of languages described here, about halfway down the post.

Yes, you can choose monster languages if you like, although you should think of how/why a Dwarf smith-cum-fighter would know languages like, say, Empyrean. You can't choose Stygian (aka Chaotic).

Also--you don't have to choose all your languages up front; you can (optionally) leave some slots open to fill in during play.

Once you're done you can post your finalised sheet over in the PC's subforum and we'll get started in game at the next opportunity...

I will leave the last slot open, I think that is everything so I will post my sheet on the main thread.

@Heartless your new rolls are:

Str: 3,3,4 (10)
Int: 4,5,3 (12)
Wis: 6,2,5 (13)
Dex: 5,2,6 (13)
Con: 2,2,1 (5)
Cha: 5,3,3 (11)

I want to introduce a variation to the now-familiar "floating 6" house rule heartless, and you're the first up:

If you play a Man (or woman) you can replace any one die with a 6, so long as you don't make an 18.

Non-human types have a bunch of different advantages instead, so they no longer get the "free 6". See the character generation house rules.

We're currently playing pretty close to by-the-book Delving Deeper.

There are still some house rules (of course!) -- see here. There's also a place to ask Hinterlands specific rules questions here. More general Delving Deeper questions should probably go in the Delving Deeper forum here.

You'll begin play with clothing, a bedroll, a backpack, one week of victuals, a water skin, and a coin purse containing 102 sp.

Note that the silver piece is the basic unit of trade, and also that:

1 gp = 6 sp = 36 cp.

The town of Ket is now occupied by Goblin forces; its markets are effectively shut down and otherwise are unavailable to you. You can still have starting goods according to these prices (but wherever it says "gp" substitute "sp") -- presumably these are goods you previously owned or purchased elsewhere.

Remember that you will also be granted a boon which will be determined according to your choice of race and class.

Post you initial character concept here, and when we have all the details sorted out you can post a completed character sheet in your own thread here.

You know what to do of course, but I'm always here to help if you need :)

I got to love Halflings, they smile and you never see who stole your money. I better keep an eye on Desmond! ;)

Nice work Mistere29; there are a couple more players putting new PCs together, so let's wait to see whether it will be viable for you all to "set out" together. Or not ;)

Hello Waysoftheearth

I see with the race rules it is easier to be human with average rolls and use the 6 die change to boost one ability. You need some good rolls to make the other races work, which I guess balances the game.

When you say "Elves add 1 to odd scores in intelligence, wisdom, and dexterity" do you mean (9 becomes 10) but (8 stays 8)?

What will I be this time... l've played Templars and Thieves and am now interested in playing a Elven Marksman with these rolls.
Is a Marksman a specialisation of a fighter? I don't find it in your DD Online rules.
What ability is most beneficial for a Marksman shooting, is it DEX with +1 To Hit?
Maybe I will make it a girl, having -1 Constitution is a weakness, so the character needs good missile attacked to survive.
