Has anyone heard from/seen Sully recently? I emailed him, but no reply as yet...

Hey folks, I posted a sample of the type of player record sheet I'm heading to
here.
It's a "Hinterlands" verion of the original, 1975
TSR D&D Character Record . There were apparently green, white, and orange sheets back in the day, but "goldenrod" is the iconic one
Any comments/critique/concerns welcome.
Thanks ehiker for setting me up with the base spreadsheet it's build on!

I've updated the XP Awards thread so that all senior PCs can come up to speed.
I've also now made the
Vulfenlund Topic public for your reading entertainment...

Hey everyone. Not sure why I wasn't receiving emails notifying me of new posts here but I missed everything until Ways emailed me directly.
As far as my thoughts regarding the rejiggering going on here in the Hinterlands are concerned, I am fine with whatever Ways wants to do. Anything that gets Tonneau back in the game is aces with me!
I would only note that my one frustration with this game is its pace, or lack thereof. I bring this up not to point fingers or place blame but to note that Ways is a busy man, and the majority of his players have never felt the need to post more than once or twice per week. Therefore I might recommend that there is only one game going on in Hinterlands at any given time. If we are to begin anew with new PCs, so be it.
It's a bummer that Dorgan has to go dark right after he reached the end of the long, hard road to Hero status but I'd rather he go away for the time being so we all can focus on Hezmog.

Perhaps it doesn't need to be said, but I'd happily post daily.
There was some thread manipulation going on, Sully, so you might consider trying to re-subscribe to the folders. Also, there are a lot of new sub folders, so you might subscribe to those folders, as well.
I believe the veteran game is not to be permanently shelved; just a temporary hiatus. At least I hope that is the case... I have a vested interest in my two-headed
halfling er, hobbet.

Sully, I've noticed the same issue with notifications — I believe the forum software will only send a notification if you've visited the site recently. If you don't visit for a few days, it appears that notifications are suppressed. Perhaps I"m "doing it wrong" but this is definitely the pattern I've experienced and it has on occasion left me playing catch up after assuming others were not actively posting, when in fact they were!
In any case — I love creating new characters

Once you receive a notice of activity, you will not receive any further notices until you visit that folder containing said activity. So if you get an email, then delete it, but don't go to the site, you won't get any further notifications. That is how the process works.
Personally, I find it easier to just make a habit of stopping by the forum once or twice (or more) a day and manually check for updates rather than rely on the notification process.

Hey Sully, good to hear from you
Okay, so if I'm reading it right, it seems that:
1.
Highbough can be encouraged to return to the Other Side by any sniff of "the Humans" being alive,
2.
Wen is content to secure the abbey and await the safe return of Dieter's crew,
3.
Dorgan is fixed on his mission to acquire mirrors and likewise return to the rescue mission.
(
Morgan's player has been MIA for a couple of months, so he can go NPC).
I believe all this can be accommodated rather neatly.
Dorgan can get a couple of shaving mirrors from the Quarter Master of the troop column, and make it back to the abbey in time to rendezvous with
Wen and
Highbough (who will be desperate to quench their thirsts and replenish their waterskins), then the three of them can either hold out at the Abbey or else return to the Other Side.
Meanwhile, a new company of miscreants can be assembled to undertake the reconnaissance mission which their predecessors neglected, allowing the Goblins to take the initiative and overrun Ket!
I'm not quite done yet, but I have started assembling some updated guidelines. See here:
Character Generation, and
XP and Level Titles, and
Tongues of the Hinterlands.
I've got a couple more to do including:
Updated prices list.
Hinterlands spell list (a.k.a. fancy spell names).
Meanwhile, comments on the above are welcome
