We've figured it out. SirVortimer has an MU in my AD&D game that has a wand of magic missiles, and he confused the two.
So, are we going to have Rhod, Franklin and Nailus melee the two gargoyles, and if so, how are you going to split it the attacks?

Franklin is no coward! If his friends all want to stay and make a stand, then Franklin is willing fight by their side. If so, to tip the odds in his favor, he chugs his potion of heroism before engaging one of the gargoyles 1-on-1.

Hey, that's a great idea!

Franklin gets +2 to hit, increases his saving throws, and gains 13 temporary hit points

The battle takes longer than it should, and Franklin is saved from a nasty hit as the gargoyle did not realize how short he was, missing him by a curly hair. Finally, both gargoyles are shattered stone. Alas, there is no invisible sword

Do we want to take the time to search for secret doors (there's still a blob in the other room)? Or check on top of the pillars for treasure? (How tall are the pillars?)

Franklin congratulates Nailus, "Excellent swing!"
OOC: I forgot the duration on the potion. Does Franklin have any remaining Heroism? If so, maybe he should try to take advantage of that by finishing off the blob with his sling?

The pedestals are about 3 feet high
