Nailus will use his Wand of Fire (provided that he believes there is room for it to be used)

Maloof and Franklin score direct hits with their slings, and then a thunderous fire ball erupts from Nailus' wand, engulfing the blob, and when it clears, there is nothing left - the blob has been burned away
Maloof, rolls 12, hits for 4 damage
Franklin, rolls 18, hits for 5 damage
Nailus, Wand of Fire for 21 damage
Black Pudding dies

I don't think there was anything else in this room, so let's return to the gargoyle room and try the western door.

Agreed; on to the western door. Franklin volunteers to be first through the door, since he is still feeling a little heroic.

The door opens onto a short 10' corridor that leads back to the 20' wide North/South corridor. Looking back south, you see a door on the west wall, 30' south of you, and 30' beyond that, the corridor you already noted across from the giant trap room with the blob. Looking north, the corridor goes 50' north, then turns west, still 20' wide (what would be the 60 and 70' sections). On the east wall, 20' and 50' from you, are 10' openings. Across from the first opening is an identical one on the west wall

Whispering, Naillus will ask, "Check out the double openings?"

Sure, let's head north and look down the first set of openings.
Somehow I missed mako's last post until now
