Franklin claps his hands excitedly. "Gnome on a string!!!" He thinks it is a grand plan.

Maloof agrees to the plan and will attempt to localise the flute sounds.

Which direction first?

Maloof is a bit wary about those tapestries, so first he'll try north for about 30 feet (keeping to the east wall), then if nothing is detected he'll try south for 30 feet (keeping to the east wall). He'll be trying to move as quietly and stealthily as possible (in addition to being invisible). If still nothing is detected, he'll return to the centre of the intersection and then head west to the next intersection.

The flute sound does get louder as he moves north. The north corridor stretches at least 60', and on the west wall is a door at the 50' section

Maloof returns back to collect his companions and urges them to head north. He will then head north as far as he is able, stopping if he notices the flute getting quieter again.

Assuming his companions follow, Maloof continues north. Past the 60' described already, the 20' wide passage goes another 30', then emerges into a large room. This room is 40' high x 80' wide, with some peculiarities. Maloof has entered from what proves to be the east wall of the room. The north wall has two 20 x 20 areas leading out of it, along the eastern most and western most sides. The south wall has a 20' wide corridor leading south, starting at the far west wall. The piping sound comes from due west, and is quite loud.

Maloof explains to his companions that the piping sounds are getting very loud. Keeping to the left (south) wall, he moves west. If he makes it to the other south-heading corridor, he'll peer south down it (and also north towards the north-heading corridor). If nothing is seen, and if the piping has not gotten more quiet after he crossed the room, he'll try scouting each of these corridors for 30 feet each (like he did previously) to try to determine in which direction the sounds are strongest, starting with the south corridor this time.
OOC: I've interpreted the room description to mean that it's shaped like a large "H", and we've entered from the lower-right arm.

Halfway along the south wall, he hears the flutes swell loudly, the sound coming from directly south
