| The situation: 1 ogre in doorway, two behind
The intention: Contain the ogre in the doorway, so it is one at a time
Actions:
- Franklin, Rhod, Nailus attack
- Balbo, Drogo, Maloof slings at -4 to avoid friendly fire (aim high)
- Aldbane in reserve |

Sling stones fly high into the doorway. Drogo grazes a shoulder, but Maloof nails the ogre right between the eyes and staggers him, allowing a good sword thrust from Rhod to finish him off. One of the two remaining ogres steps up and takes a mighty swing at Rhod, but he has so much magical protection it fails to connect

The party decides to repeat its tactics, as they worked so efficiently last round. This time, the hastily reloaded slings miss, and only Franklin gets a good hit in, stabbing the ogre through its calf. It bellows with rage, looks down at the puny halfling, but its clumsy strike misses. More sling attacks miss, but this time all three melee fighters hit and the second ogre falls. The last ogre has no choice but to break out, but he fails to score a hit.

With only one ogre left, and their tactics working, the party repeats the process. The ogre does not seem able to connect with them, and the halflings pelt him with stones, and Rhod and Franklin stab him - but he still stands! But he finally goes down under a flurry of stones and swords.

The party's ability to bottleneck the monsters really worked

Drogo and Maloof hit for 1 and 6 damage, respectively

"Great job everyone. Do we search the ogres and room?" Naillus will ask

Franklin sighs philosophically as he wipes the ogre blood from his sword. "It's a shame those ogres had to be so chaotic and untrustworthy. I genuinely would have enjoyed teaming up with them to hunt an owlbear or something."

Franklin joins Naillus hunting for treasure, poking around with the toe of his boot, so he doesn't get the ogre's filth on his hands. Sconces finds the turkey jerky that was dropped during the scuffle and makes sure it doesn't go to waste.

Naillus will look for secret doors as well. He will definitely look to see if the Ogres made a crude (or otherwise) map detailing where this wizard is.

Maloof heads into the room with the others to see what may be seen.

It's just a plain 20' square room, no other exits or secrets found. Among all the filth and squalor, are three sacks, where the ogres kept their gold

Franklin laments, "They had all this gold and yet they died hungry."

How much gold are we talking? Enough to put in our pockets and continue the adventure? Or a huge amount, that we should think about returning to the surface world?

You estimate (without stopping to count it out) about 1000 gold pieces

"That might be a lot to carry around. Perhaps we should do a quick return, deposit things, and return," Naillus will muse.
