OOC: For spells casters this a good opportunity since if we use any magic on the scout we can regain it by morning.

"I will join you," says Highbough. The old-timer is quiet as a mouse during the scouting operation. He is particularly on the lookout for any undead, which are known to haunt the abandoned holy places of the world.

(OOC: we are just patrolling the perimeter of the campsite to keep everyone safe, not infiltrating the abbey until the full group is ready.)

Dorgan looks sideways at Wen and anyone else who wants to do some scouting.

"I ain't the boss of ya but might be better ta sleep now and scout in the early morn, when gobbos and the like is sleepin'."

The dwarf lets out an exaggerated yawn.

"Speakin' a' sleepin', I'll take my nap after dinner. Third watch is mine."

Highbough recalls also his Cloak of Elemental Night...

True, but Highbough is hoping it will not be necessary to use up the charge. Rather, the crafty Elf draws his hood and keeps his head low, sticking to the lee of the hill, out of sightlines from a sentinel at the Abbey.

Also with the light growing dim, is it possible to pinpoint the location of the cook fire? If so, Highbough will concentrate his looking & listening in that direction (without approaching and blowing his cover). While Highbough would welcome an evening scrap with goblins, he doubts his human companions will fare as well in the fading light. Therefore he is careful not to attract attention.

Okay, so it's Highbough, Wen and Guntrum who decide to scout the vicinity, while the others rest up.

Josiane further tends Dieter's hurts with the Grace of her Medicant Requite restoring the fighting Man a further (1d6=6!) 7 hit points. Dieter is almost feeling like himself again.

Josiane takes the first watch as the scouts head off and everyone else settles down for the eventing...

(Highbough, Wen and Guntrum over to thread 46 please...)

Okay, so Envongr will keep Josiane company on the first watch.
