Thanks for having me back! Looks like I am playing a Lawful character this time. I smite thee in the name of Solaria!
I will play Stern to the best of my ability until @Kozos returns.Although if I remember the DL novels correctly, wasn't he a 'guest starring Sean Bean' type of character, if you know what I mean? It's been a while since I read any DL. I'm the perfect audience for your game, in that I vaguely remember Dragonlance novels and AD&D products, but not any of the specific plot points. More than anything I remember the Larry Elmore artwork.

I've tried to contact Kozos a few times, and I've extended an open invite to rejoin the game at the next vacancy. For now, let's assume you're driving Stern until further notice.
Please check your PMs for your starter quest.
Stern has plate armor as well as an enchanted two-handed sword. Thus far it has proved very... ouchy.

Catch-up question, reading back through Episode 01 - The Approach:
Would it be out of character for Stern to scavenge a crossbow and bolts from one of the fallen guards? Having felt the crossbow's sting at the battle of the gatehouse, he doesn't want to be helpless in the next ranged battle.
Stern's heirloom sword will always be his primary weapon, but I can't remember if he has any kind of vow or restriction that prevents him from using other weapons?

There's no specific weapon restrictions upon Stern.
I haven't put much thought into his knightly code of conduct, but you can help develop one!
You might decide that if they're using missiles weapons, it's fair game to use same in reply.

I believe I remember a scene in the books where "Stern" uses a Longbow from the top of wall to harass a blue dragon. (Almost sure it's his death scene).
