Definitely! Looks like the beetles might be planning a ranged attack of their own...

Robur picks up the clue from the other's reaction that these strange beetles might be dangerous and scurries to hide and rearm with his sling.

"Back down the tunnel!" Dame Simonetta commands. However, she will not abandon any hobbets and will be the last to retreat.
If we can retreat far enough back so as to get around a corner we will be safe from a mass volley of tahini, and melee them when they come to us.

Noh snaps to at the commanding voice of The Dame and follows directions to retreat.

OOC: I see one of two possible outcomes to this plan:
A: The beetles shoot their missile attack, the party retreats out of range, the beetles do not pursue, thus ending the encounter. At that point I assume you would backtrack through area 16?
B: The beetles pursue, and melee combat takes place within the narrow confines of the tunnel. If this happens, I need 2 brave volunteers to stand on the front line. You would fight with 2-1 advantage because the fat beetles can only come at you one at a time. I know I can count on Dame Simonetta; who will stand beside her?

Wilbur the Quite Tall would stand beside Dame Simonetta.

Can I throw the javelins of doomâ„¢ from the second rank, if need be?

Dougal stands with Wilbur and the Dame, launching a sling stone at the nearest beetle.
