KOCH
"If we are not alone, then it is best if the full party is together. Let's head back upstairs and find the others and leave this gas chamber behind. I'll carry Desmond, can you (looking at Olaf) and Andaros carry Gustave?"

"Yes." Olaf says, "But better let Andraros alone carry Gustave over his shoulder while I light the way with the scepter."
"Let's move out." Olaf says as he slams the door shut behind him.

"
Agree Let us move from this place, and rest above ground and join up with the others", coughs
Wibert.

Olaf splashes water over Desmond's, and then Gustave's, grey faces. For good measure he gives them a slap and pumps their chests to get them breathing. Down here in the semi-gloom it is difficult to see whether the pair are breathing at all, and the party quickly decides to make for the surface...

Olaf lifts the scepter to light the way back up the stair.
Andaros slings Gustave over his strong shoulder and follows, while Koch hoists Desmond over his and does like wise. With the party on the move Wibert slams the door behind them and follows up the stair last.
A short (but heavy) climb back up the stair and the company find themselves in the stairwell on the ground floor, and from there back into the dormitories where Gustave and Desmond can be set down in what gloomy daylight enters through the grimy windows. It is certainly better then downstairs.

At last it is determined that both Gustave and Desmond are breathing... if only just. They cannot be roused to consciousness however, and by the green-grey palour of their faces, both appear gravely ill.
At last Wibert looks around and asks the obvious question.
"Where's Nidhogg?"
Of the Dwarf, there is no sign whatever...

KOCH lays Desmond on the floor, and tries to get him to drink some water. "C'mon Desmond, come back to us." He drops his head as he hears Wibert's question, "I hope he hasn't fallen into a trap. I'll check the next room over.*"
KOCH grabs his sling and shield and carefully, checking the walls, floor and ceiling, moves to the adjoining room.
*OOC: If I'm reading the map from thread (17) correctly, there are a couple of connected dormitory rooms.

Olaf looks around and finds a crack or a holder where he can stand the scepter up to provide light and then will work on Gustave much like Kosh was working on Desmond. If he can get the man awake enough to swallow some clean water he'll do so.
Once he has done all he thinks he can for Gustave, Olaf will take up the Scepter and lower it saying the phrase to extinguish it (I've forgotten what it is), and return it to his backpack.
"I wonder where the others have gotten off to?" Olaf says and then goes out into the courtyard and calls out, "Where is everybody?"

"Gustave and Desmond have been injured by some sort of green gas. They live, but are laid low. We heard laughter down below before we turned back, so we aren't alone here." Olaf calls back, "Highbough, where are the others? I think we need to stay together in this place."
