How much further do we want to scout? Don't want to stir up any trouble.

Desmond and Mondes settle in, happy to take the middle shift to allow the injured to sleep and the users of magic to obtain the required rest necessary to regain their spells.

As he closes his eyes, Desmond whispers a quick prayer that no rash, foolish newcomer party members screw the mission up by alerting the current residents of the abbey to their presence.

In the morning, they will eat a bit, drink some water, and then gear up for combat, ready to recover the lost tomes for the Sisters. Desmond is eager to help get Olaf restored to full power and Mondes allows his mind to wander over the jewels and valuable objects they are sure to find in the abbey.

(Sorry, Ways... forgot that other thread was the intrepid scouting party's thread)

Gustave declines scout duty, muttering something about a need for his beauty sleep. Pulling a conglomerate of fine, silk-lined bedding from his pack, he settles into a grassed nook and is soon snoozing peacefully.

Ulric settles in to rest finding a dry corner to lay down his bedroll and prepares himself for the next day's ordeal. He absently drops some food into a small wooden box then stows it back into his pack. Ulric looks among his companions. How many would still be alive at sunset tomorrow?

Olaf will sleep until it is second watch, man it, then sleep through third watch...all assuming we aren't attacked during the night.

The night grows cool, and a stuttering breeze begins to develop as the ripe moon climbs higher and higher.

The night is silver blue and visibility is good... for night. Far off, wolves are baying in the hills.

(1d6; first watch=?, second watch=?, third watch=?)

Guntrum returns to camp carefully, with the uncomfortable feeling that there are eyes on his back. However, he makes it back unmolested with the first watch drawing to an end. He quietly reports his findings to Josiane and Envongr before the three of them wake Olaf and Desmond/Mondes for the second watch, and let them know that Highbough and Wen are still lurking somewhere outside the camp perimeter...

Josiane, Envongr and Guntrum turn in and the second watch commences...

Guntrum also reports the feeling that he was being watched, although he has no way of knowing whether it is any more than his imagination.

After listening to Guntrum's report, Desmond and Mondes take full advantage of their predicament and make sure at least one of them focuses their attention on that general direction at all times.
