Wibert, your adventure begins.... now!
You are marked "W" on the scratch map above.
Having been left behind by the ribald brigands as an unhappy scullery servant fit only to prepare meals, Wibert at last has decided enough is enough. These Men hardly appreciate his cooking anyway, so -- in secret -- he has trailed along behind them to see what they really get up to.
Thus far it is all looking rather dubious...

Danhem; unless he makes a very favourable initiative roll Ulric's magic will be resolved last in the round. But with just 2 hit points remaining, any hit before then will ruin his casting and very likely end him.
Cowering behind the chest without attacking could avert this possibility entirely. On the other-hand, it is said that fortune does favour the brave...

Gustave grunts in relief and flexes his shoulder, now free of the arrow. He gropes in dismay at the hole in his armour and, more importantly, the silken brocade won in a duel with the Duke of Kutt over unjust accusations regarding his daughter. Inhaling deeply through flared nostrils, he eyes the knaves below with palpable displeasure.
"Now...now you have made me very un-happy", he fumes, plucking the proffered daggers from Highboughs belt, "and The Gustave does not like being un-happy!"
He strides out the door and flings the knives at the nearest knave with fearsome gusto.

With a focused expression and a cold look in his eyes, Andaros will swing his axe at the knave one more time.

There are many good-sized rocks about,
Nidhogg will have no difficulty grasping one.
