That's a good philosophical question about the nature of magical invisibility - would the oil become invisible upon contact, or would you see the oil outline the shape? I like rewarding good ideas, so let's say that you do see a figure roughly outlined by some oil, while Rhod sees a caped wizard of some sort. The wizard focuses on Rhod, and looks like he is about to cast a spell!

Rhod leaps forward and stabs the wizard!
