^Yes, but I think we should ready ourselves for missile fire through the doorway first. Maloof has a crossbow, he could ready his crossbow, put it on the floor, then open the door and immediately drop to his belly and grab the crossbow. Now everyone else can shoot over his head, and he can shoot his crossbow.

Does the door open toward us or away from us?

Aldbane is not good with his sling (-1 for DEX), so he can open the door and stand out of the way, once everyone is in position.

Well, if we're going this route, Rhod will have his bow drawn and an arrow knocked.

You kick in the door and surprise a group of 8 men, armed with swords and leather armour. Four are sitting around in a circle, drinking ale and chatting, some dice in the space in front of them. Two are laying down in some cots along the west wall, and two more are at a table along the east wall, eating. The room is 40' square, with the two doors being obvious (fit it in your map how you wish)

Are these men hostile? Do we want to risk losing our surprise to parlay, or simply open fire? We could call for them to surrender, but given their numbers I doubt they would comply.

On the balance, Maloof thinks we're better off attacking. We probably have enough firepower (especially if Wiglaff uses a wand or a Sleep spell).

However, I will hold off posting his action just yet in case anyone else has a dissenting opinion.
