Amongst all the normal detritus, you recover about 600 gold pieces and 200 silver pieces

Maloof listens at the north door, and then opens it to make sure it connects to the diamond room (which would match his map).

The nearest unexplored area is to the east, but that's past the room full of fire, so unless someone is feeling brave enough to try it, or has thought of some method for extinguishing the flames?

The other two nearby areas are from Room #18 and Room #19. Room #18 is filled with broken crockery, and Room #19 smells like wolves. They are both unexplored because we left to head back to the surface. (I think I was incorrect in my memory that the one in Room #18 had an undead behind it, I was thinking of some other room or even some other game).

The area to the north of #19 looks close and might lead us to an area normally blocked by the flame room.

You make your way back to the room that smelled like wolves. The door in the north has some dampness around the edges

Around ALL the edges? Like it's holding back a raging river? Or around the bottom, like the wolves wanted everybody to know it was their door?

Franklin puts his ear to the door for a good listen. His loyal dog Sconces should be able to sniff out whether the wetness is wolf pee.
