Franklin calls up the ladder, "You guys need to come see this!"

Rhod will go next, to ensure the ladder holds us heavier characters.

Rhod makes it down without incident

While his friends are making their way down the ladder, Franklin stands by the door and listens for approaching monsters.

Wiglaff orders his men-at-arms to descend & shore up the defenses at the bottom, then descends himself.

Once Grampus descends, Wiglaff will ask him to try & detect which direction the exit from this chamber goes in.

Franklin calls,"Grampus! Please carry Sconces on your way down. He trusts you."

Aldbane will also descend the ladder.

Maloof joins the party at the bottom of the pit.

It looks like everybody descends. It is an irregular area, but if you were trying to put it in a square frame, the side passage with treasure goes about 30 more feet east of the ladder. The rest of the room is a natural cave somewhat oval shaped, possible 40' wide at its widest, and 50' N/S, with the ladder being at its base, and it being more egg-like on the north side, where the door is.

You can hear a faint scratching on the other side of the door

The treasure looks like a huge pile of copper pieces, but you can see the haft of an axe sticking out of the pile

Grampus says, “Let’s examine the axe handle and see what the head end looks like.”
