Dougal reaches for his dagger and rushes the last spider, swinging away with his new sword.

Dame Simonetta elbows her way forward to slay the last spider.

Dame Simonetta and Noh miss. Robur stabs accurately with his dagger, Dougal lands a glancing stroke with his cursed weapon, and Wilbur unleashes a mighty blow with his sword! But it is the henchman Douglas who sneaks in the killing blow. "Oh yeah! I'm a spider killing machine!" he brags.

All 3 spiders are slain. The wandering monster encounter is over.

"Good work, Douglas!" Dame Simonetta says. She proceeds to lead the way northwards towards the NE exit.

Robur puffs out his chest and struts after Dame, and proudly grins.

"I can feel it now Mrs. Dame!" says Robur behind Dame. "We're a real band of hearty adventurers now!"

Proudly our heroes march to area #16.

Anticlimactically... this is an empty room, with only one other exit.

Every good dungeon should have a few empty rooms. Do you continue northeast?

Dame Simonetta proceeds across the room cautiously, peering into each small side-alcove as she passes.

Robur follows equally cautious with his Hobbit Stiletto drawn...

Our heroes move on from the empty area #16 and follow a long, winding passage to area #17, the lair of the tahini beetles.

Neither side is surprised. The 6 giant tahini beetles mindlessly scurry to defend their territory (no reaction roll necessary). Some of you know from past experience that these beetles can spit a sticky, paralysing glob of sesame paste.

What is the party's reaction to this threat?
