Re: Delve the Fifteenth

You step out the door into a corridor facing east. It goes 10', then turns south, goes 10' more, and opens into a 20 x 40 room, 20 feet high, 40 feet east. You see an older man with white hair, wearing mystical robes, with a red-cardboard crown on his head, and a wand at easy reach tucked in his belt, puttering about various alchemical tables and props.

"Ah!" he says, looking up. "Have you come to help Thoth the Magnificent take down that charlatan Ozminster?" Half a dozen armed orcs lounge around, dangerously

"Indeed!", Maloof pipes in reply. "We are always looking for opportunities for enrichment. What do you offer?"

"Well, if you bring me his head, and his spell books, you can have everything else he owns, plus I will give you a Wand of Fireballs", he says, tapping the wand in his belt

Re: Delve the Fifteenth

Franklin isn't a thief, so he definitely doesn't try to steal the wand from the wizard's belt. He leaves his dog Sconces with Balbo and Drogo and casually steps into the room with Maloof. He acts naturally and watches the wizard's eyes. If the wizard makes eye contact then Franklin will infer that he can see invisible. Franklin has one hand in his pocket on the stopper of his potion of heroism.

He nods in silent agreement as Maloof responds to the wizard.

(OOC edit: I cross-posted with makofan but no change to Franklin's actions. He doesn't speak--so as not to give away his invisibility to the orcs--but nods his head agreeably so that in case the wizard can see him, he won't seem threatening.)

"Excellent," Maloof replies. "In all honesty, we have not yet encountered Ozminster. Where might he be located, and how may we recognise him?"

Aldbane steps into view. "And what kind of a retinue does this Ozminster have? Does he keep Orcs as well? Any information you can give us on his lair and surroundings is appreciated."
Aldbane is thinking we can agree to anything here, but we might find that Thoth is the evil one in the end.

Thoth gives you a rough map of the area. "My spies report that to get into his area, you have to walk by the spot where a magic mouth pops up, and punch the mouth. That opens a secret door"

Re: Delve the Fifteenth

Franklin remains hidden and leaves with the group when the conversation is over.

OOC: The map is valuable information!
