With all these blows raining down upon it the monster capitulates, and is cut, slashed, and beaten, dashed and hatcheted bloodily unto its ignoble death.

Then it is Einer and Nat's blades that fall upon its scaled back (2d20=7,10), but all are deflected harmlessly against its tough scales.
